No one has ever accused me for not planning ahead.  And as such, I started thinking about the 2013 annual Menlo Park Summer Concert Series that takes place in Fremont Park near downtown!

Right now, as I look around, I see that the Summer Concert Series is scheduled to run from June 19th to August 14th, Wednesday nights, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m..

I don’t see any schedules of bands yet, but if they get the usual fare of performers, it should be fun.

Summer Concert Series

Join us from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. the last Wednesday of June through mid August at Fremont Park to listen to some of the best local groups. The series features a variety of musical styles from Jazz to Country to hits of today and yesterday. Bring your picnic blanket and dinner, and of course there is always room up front for dancers of all ages.

Since I’m “planning ahead,” don’t forget about the 4th of July parade and the Halloween parade events!

4th of July Parade and Celebration

This is the annual parade and celebration you have heard so much about. Decorate you bike, trike, wagon, golf cart, or float and parade with us down Santa Cruz Avenue from the parking lot off Santa Cruz and Chestnut Street to Burgess Park. The Parade starts promptly at 11:45 am on July 4th. Once at Burgess Park, you and your family will enjoy music, games, and food. Menlo Park is your small town oasis in the Bay Area!

Halloween Parade and Carnival

The annual Halloween Parade and Carnival is held the Saturday before Halloween. Come in costume and participate in the annual parade from Burgess Park to Fremont Park. Participants will receive a trick or treat bag. A performer will be at the park to entertain parade participants. There will also be art and craft activities, a candy guess and a pumpkin weight guess. After the parade, trick or treat through Downtown Menlo Park at participating stores. Activities are co-sponsored by the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce.
