Movie Reviews out for ‘Footloose,’ ‘The Thing,’ ‘The Big Year’

Brusimm Cinema Static Movie NewsThe website, Movie Review Intelligence, cranked out some early numbers on the industry reviews of this weekend’s movies, Footloose, The Thing and The Big Year.

Per the percentage of good reviews, it seems that Footloose and The Big Year might be the movies to consider seeing, if you were on the fence about any of them.

If you’re fixated on prequels or alien mutating imitators, then I’d still say go for it.

Per MRI, the percentage of good movie reviews:

Footloose 70%;

The Big Year 59% &

The Thing 49%.

I’d still head over to Movie Review Intelligence.  They break down the different reviews and spit out their intro words on the movie reviews!  You have to balance things out.  The numbers are not bullet-proof.  I’ve been fooled by the numbers a bit, but in a good way.

I’m in the process of trying to find another movie reviewer or two that I trust.  It’s hard to just blindly trust your wallet to blind words.  There are reviewers out there that seem to live in a different world than I do.  They come from a different perspective than I do.

I noticed that The Thing was coming out. There was not a great deal of hype about it, so is it any good?
I know it is not a remake, but a prequel to the Kurt Russell movie.
Sounds good though.
