Don’t be fooled by the title. It has a meaning, just not what you think. But it keeps you thinking all throughout the read… why this title? When will the impact or meaning of it going to hit the reader?
It has been a long time since I read a book that I call a page turner. But My Sweet Satan reacquainted me with staying up too late and accidental longer lunches at work (shhh) while I kept trying to squeeze in that one last sentence, paragraph or chapter.
My Sweet Satan, by Peter Cawdron, is a story fit for an excellent sci-fi mystery movie.
The story is about a space mission to Saturn with the hopes of first contact. But this mission for humanity’s first handshake with aliens is strife with tension, drama, and an abundance of mystery.
It starts out innocent enough and just as you accept the story flow, you are thrust forward into an impossible situation. A situation that keeps you wondering what is up, who is right, what should be done? As situations arise the reader is kept off balance as you try to sort out the truth of the matter.
It has been a long time since I’ve been entertained by a book and My Sweet Satan reignited my reasoning for snapping up books for reading.
