NASCAR released the schedules for all three national series, the Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series race schedules.
If you look carefully, you’ll catch some changes that were made to the Sprint Cup schedules. The biggest changes are Phoenix date moved to the 2nd week of the year, “realigned” dates at Kansas and Kentucky, and Chicago will now be the first race of the Chase.
The second race of the season, now at Phoenix International Raceway on Feb. 27, replaces CA (Auto Club Speedway). The weekend that Phoenix had, now has Texas Motor Speedway there, for Saturday, April 9. (Yes, a night race.) Auto Club Speedway’s date is moved to march 27th.
With Chicagoland hosting the first race of the Chase, on Sunday, Sept. 18, moves New Hampshire’s date back one week to Sept. 25th.
