NASCAR: Can't Believe People Still Going On About Talladega

I keep seeing and hearing media coverage on the Talladega race from last weekend.

Folks, we’re into the Texas Motor Speedway weekend.  Talladega has come, and is gone.

Yes, it’s fast.  Yes, it’s restrictor plated to slow them down.  We don’t want cars flying into the stands.  Yes, the speed restriction bunches the cars up.  Yes, many are unhappy.  Yes, many are also happy.

I’ve found this issue to be overlooking a tiny detail about what some have called “boring racing.”

Driving straight at 190+ mph is NOTHING like driving at 30 mph.  Even if the drivers call it boring, that’s an incredible statement about the level of their talent.  Never mind navigating the turns.  They only make it look easy.

For those of you calling it boring, you don’t understand what it is you are calling boring.  No disrespect, it just is what it is.

Now can we get on with Texas and the last three weekends of what could possibly be a record shattering 2009 NASCAR season please?

Thanks gang!
