I’ve always wondered why we can’t get SIRIUS Satellite Radio, Channel 128 NASCAR channel on the Internet? We seem to have access to many other offerings from SIRIUS on their web interface. What’s up?
Dave Moody fielded a phone call today about that very subject.
Basically put, Turner Broadcasting owns the NASCAR rights. What Turner wants for $$ to stream the NASCAR content on the internet is apparently much more costly than what SIRIUS considers the value of the content to be worth.
What this seems to mean is that until either the debt ridden Satellite entity finds the money (not likely) or Turner decides to lossen up their premise of what the value is, we, the consumer / fan are victim to this stand-off.
