NBC Re-ups Parks and Recreation For Season 3

NBC has given a 3rd season of Parks and Recreation a green light.

It’s not so much because the show has devastated the ratings, but NBC is looking to lock the actors in with their schedules.

Of course, since there are other shows that do get higher ratings, there are expectations that The Office, 30 Rock and Community will get renewed.  Of course there’s nothing like protecting your interest in an actor’s schedule like locking them in with a renewal of a low-rated show.

It’s NBC, whad’ya want?  It seems they’ve learned a thing or two dealing with Conan, at least in how they need to plan ahead to protecting themselves and their interests.

To be fair, Parks and Rec does average just over 5 million viewers, but for mainstream ratings, that’s not a phenom.

A little promotion would go along way for this show. :)
