OK, I have to admit that I don’t watch NCIS: Los Angeles.  It never took with me and though I watched it tonight for it’s third season finale, well, I wasn’t converted… yet.  I see from the last time I watched, that the cast has grown considerably and Christopher Lambert makes a very cool, smooth criminal.  Well, at least he did.

AND yes, after the Hawaii Five-0 cross-over, I watched it through to the end, though I have to admit, without giving much away, that seemed to be a bone-headed move by Callen!

But in one of the scenes, the team was reconstructing a series of images pulled from a bunch of online photos from the Santa Monica pier, and then put those images into a computer program and let the program do its magic of recreating a panoramic, 3D recreation of the scene on the pier.

Photosynth on NCIS Los Angeles season finaleThe huge screen behind the characters showed something that looked vaguely familiar.  I’ve seen it somewhere before, and sure enough… I had.  I dug around and found it!

I give you Photosynth, by Microsoft!  And that’s my cool observation for the day!  I haven’t played with it, but maybe now, you have a new toy to tinker with, if interested!
