Netflix Halloween Programming schedule

If you’re in the mood for some good, old fashion scary or classic Halloween monster movies, BUT you don’t want the edited crap you get on network TV, AND you’re a Netflix subscriber, you, good reader, are in luck.

From now until Halloween night, Netflix has added a new row of programming to their homepage, called Halloween Favorites.

It looks like they have a great selection across the board of goodies to queue up and watch.

Check out this list of featured titles in their Halloween movie list on Netflix (There are many other titles not mentioned in the press release):

  • An American Werewolf in London, (fun flick)
  • Carrie, (Don’t tick her off)
  • Child’s Play,
  • Creature from the Black Lagoon: Special Edition, (nice classic)
  • Dracula, (another great classic)
  • The Faculty, (creepy fun)
  • Frankenstein, (classic [I presume it’s the original])
  • Friday the 13th, (classic)
  • From Dusk Till Dawn, (this is a fun vamp flick, with George Clooney and Tarantino)
  • Ghost, (nice love story)
  • Halloween: Resurrection,
  • Hannibal, (um, yikes)
  • Hellraiser,
  • House on Haunted Hill,
  • Jeepers Creepers, (my favorite, popcorn fun franchise)
  • Let the Right One In, (a vamp flick of a certain acquired taste)
  • Little Shop of Horrors, (who doesn’t love a singing plant?)
  • Nosferatu, (ooh, a nice classic)
  • The Omen, (this should make mrs*kaye happy [a follower])
  • Pet Sematary,
  • Psycho, (yes, there are days I… oh, a classic)
  • Scary Movie,
  • South Park Spook-Tacular!, (something I haven’t seen)
  • Stephen King’s Children of the Corn,
  • The Thing, (hoping this is the original and not the prequel of the same name.)
  • Village of the Damned,
  • The Wolf Man

@ M. W. – LMAO! Wow! The same thing was just happening to me. Holy crap it freaked me out. It would happen out of no where like when they dug up the boys mother! Right after the shot inside the grave! Nicely done if it was intentional.

Hot titles for Halloween! For those who don’t have Netflix in their country, I highly recommend Unotelly.

My husband and I were watching the original version of The Omen on Netflix last night. Not sure if it is a glitch or if it was purposefully edited this way but anytime we would rewind the movie and replay the scene a picture of the creepy child on the carousel would flash on the screen and then the scene would continue to play as normal. It was creepy and happened EVERY time we had to rewind.
