The second week of March and some of you will enjoy this week’s DVD & Blu-ray releases & some of you will just hate them! A few Oscar nominated selections came out this week: Up In The Air and Precious: Based On The Novel Push By Sapphire make their way onto (an Oscar® Nominated box cover art) DVD.
In movies this week, a rather bleak selection to pick favorites from. I’m leaning toward, The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day the sequel to the cult hit Boondock Saints. I wouldn’t mind watching Michael Moores new documentary Capitalism: A Love Story if its free, I’m not paying for that kind of love.
In TV this week I’m looking forward to Tremors, the Complete TV Series. No really I’m not kidding. I love that franchise except the last film, Tremors 4. The prequel concept can’t just be thrown in for lack of a real idea, and it sure didn’t work with Tremors 4. Also this week there’s a new U2, DVD, “U2-New Recruits-U2 Today.” I have no idea what road U2 is driving their career down this month but it sounds like a cult intro documentary?
My Blu-ray pick this week is, Lucid Dream – Music Experience in 3-Dimensional Sound Reality [7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio Disc]. I picked this one out as an example to skeptics of Aural 3D technology. Here it is for your subliminal bliss only $29.99.
Notice to readers: there is a current trend in Blu-ray marketing to offer 2 packs that pair up mainly older films together on one disc. I don’t support those releases and that’s why I don’t include them in the weekly reports. Speaking of, here’s this weeks best in DVD and Blu-ray.
