My movie pick this week is the remastered version of, Death Race 2000 the Roger Corman’s classic! Packed with behind the scenes footage and interviews with the late David Carradine this re-issue is fully loaded. If your a fan of auto racing, and haven’t seen this film yet, I’m ashamed of you! Pick this one up on Tuesday on DVD or Blu-ray!

Rental / Used DVD of the Week
The Chumscrubber 2005, Rated R
My Rental/ Used DVD pick of the week is, The Chumscrubber. Starring, Jamie Bell, Camila Belle, William Fichtner, Glenn Close, Carrie Ann Moss and Ralph Fiennes.
The Chumscrubber is a very slick dramedy that is a mixture of Donnie Darko, Weeds, and American Beauty! The characters are well cast and go through major transformations. Its a fantastic tale of suburban decay and prescribed enlightenment. That’s all I really want to say about the plot.
Strong performances push this film over the edge, a classic movie for tragic times. Camile Belle’s performance in particular. Why isn’t she in more films! I actually liked Glenn Close as well! Solid film!

Next week there’s a ton of cool new releases! Hot Tub Time Machine, and Percy Jackson /The Lightening Thief hit the streets. Fans of the The Closer, the Fifth Season will be coming out as well as the much anticipated, RUSH: Beyond The Lighted Stage!
