Coming up this Friday, June 15th, the new movies at the movie theater include some singing, some humor and some other stuff!
First up
• Rock of Ages
This movie, technically, is about “A small town girl and a city boy meet on the Sunset Strip, while pursuing their Hollywood dreams.“
The cast has quite the collection of names…Julianne Hough, Tom Cruise, Alex Baldwin, Russell Brand, Bryan Cranston, Catherine Zeta-Jones and more.
It’s directed and produced by Adam Shankman (The Last Song, Step Up 3D)… so it would seem to be in good hands.

• That’s My Boy
This is the Adam Sandler starring & produced comedy movie about a son who reunites with his crazy, loser father. The cast also includes Andy Samberg, Leighton Meester, James Caan and more.
It’s directed by Sean Anders, whose previous work includes Mr. Popper’s Penguins, Hot Tub Time Machine, She’s Out of My League, & Sex Drive. This movie looks to be in good hands and could be a contender at the box office.
Sandler has been producing many comedic projects and has quite a few more films coming up.

• The Woman in the Fifth
Starring Ethan Hawke & Kristin Scott Thomas star in a movie, where “A college lecturer flees to Paris after a scandal costs him his job. In the City of Lights, he meets a widow who might be involved in a series of murders.”

• Your Sister’s Sister
In limited release, but it stars Emily Blunt, Mark Duplass, & Rosemarie DeWitt in a movie where “ Iris invites her friend Jack to stay at her family’s island getaway after the death of his brother. At their remote cabin, Jack’s drunken encounter with Hannah, Iris’ sister, kicks off a revealing stretch of days.”
