In this edition of Brusimm’s piece of TV news, we chat about…

  • A show that Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie are starring in together,
  • About a Boy,
  • Agents of SHIELD (Edward James Olmos joining the cast),
  • Bates Motel,
  • Bob’s Burgers,
  • Daredevil on Netflix,
  • Glee,
  • HBO’s Game of Thrones,
  • HBO’s Veep,
  • HBO’s Silicon Valley,
  • Mad Men,
  • Sons of Anarchy (Reflection on their overall TV ratings), &
  • The Walking Dead

Is About A Boy in danger? NBC reduced it’s episode order of its second season down to 20. Sometimes when a show gets its episode order reduced, that means it is not holding its weight in the ratings as well as the network would like. So prepare thyself, just in case.  Though to reduce it by just a few episodes and still have 20 episodes to a season isn’t too shabby of a situation.

Edward James Olmos joined Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, and he will be seen when the show returns from its mid-season break, in March. It’s been said when his character, Robert Gonzales, first appears, everyone will take notice.

Bates Motel returns for its third season to A&E on March 9th, 2015.

Bob’s Burgers was renewed by Fox for its sixth season.

Daredevil will be premiering on Netflix on April 10th, 2015. There will be 13 one-hour episodes.

Glee’s final season (sixth) kicked off and of course, having been shoved into their Friday night slot, the live premiere ratings were down by 65% from their previous season’s premiere. Of course the bean counters were saying how the numbers will still higher than the cancelled reality series Utopia. Duh.

Game of Thrones (S5), Veep (S4) and Silicon Valley (S2) are all premiering on Syfy (just joking!), on HBO on April 12th, 2015.

AMC announced that the final season of Mad Men will run out its story, starting on April 5th, 2015.

Sons of Anarchy cast where are they now

Sons of Anarchy’s finale episode that closed the series netted FX a total of 9.26 million viewers, giving FX an all-time record for an episode. Plus the final season of SOA was the most watched season of any FX series ever. On average. And miraculously, it’s numbers grew by 200% from when it first premiered to now.

A quickie reminder that The Walking Dead is returning on February 8th, 2015.

In other announcement news, any Hugh Laurie or Tom Hiddleston fans will be happy to hear that AMC picked up the rights to an upcoming espionage drama series called The Night Manager. Laurie and Hiddleston will star, with filming beginning in the spring.

-That’s all for now… Thanks for coming by.
