I’ve been culling the headlines all week for things that interest me… that included news bites about the Justice League movie; Man of Steel; Guardians of the Galaxy; Revolution; Breaking Bad; Men In Black 3; Travel Channel; 90210; THE SWEENEY; & Teen Wolf.
If you had not heard, a bit ago the news was that Warner Bros. scrapped the first (2nd? 3rd?) Justice League movie script. Which has you wondering what they’re up to… that is, besides trying to be even halfway competitive with the slate of Marvel movies and how well they’ve been done.
Then there’s the old news bits about how Nolan was done with things and Bale would never do another Batman movie.
Now RUMORS on the street is that WB is trying to get Christopher Nolan to develop and produce the Justice League movie and that they’re trying to get Christian Bale on board for being Batman, again.
Personally, I think how the Dark Knight trilogy ended was just fine, and the younger “Robin” could then take over the mantle of the Bat.
But that’s just me.
As real news comes out, we’ll touch on it some.
Speaking of superhero movies, word is that despite more rumors about how The Avengers sequels will be panning out, that Joss Whedon says there won’t be a Planet Hulk story line.
What I’m thinking is that the entire premise behind the character of the Hulk is the personality of Bruce Banner. That’s the key to that character.
But could Bruce Banner have a story line that is like that of Planet Hulk? He could. But will he? Probably not, but the conjecture of where The Avengers story line is going is fun news.
And did you know that if you’re typing way too fast, you could end up with a totally different movie title, like Plant Hulk? Hmm…
Since I’ve Already Mentioned Christopher Nolan…
Word on the street from an exclusive that JoBlo broke, is that the early test audience screenings of the Nolan produced Man of Steel movie are creating strong, positive emotives from that select, lucky crowd.
As one quote was put, “Imagine a Nolan story with Snyder Effects/action.” In other words, a Nolan-verse take of or an action flick with substance? Awesome.
To be honest, I had complete faith that this, yet one more rendition of a Superman movie, would finally have some merit besides that of Warner Bros. trying to retain their character rights by ‘having’ to make another movie. (It was a long, complicated story.) This time, it’s for real and WB no longer has any rights issues hanging over their heads, so this can be done right.
Man of Steel opens June 14th, 2013, and stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Laurence Fishburne, Christopher Meloni, and Diane Lane.
Man of Steel Trailer:
The trailer looks epic…
Rumors That Aren’t?
Rumors are running rampant with the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. News is that we’ll be catching a whiff of Iron Man there, as well as the character Nova.
Turns out, as pointed out by AICN, the Guardians of the Galaxy promo production art poster has Nova Corp ships in the background, so more than likely, we’ll be seeing the Nova characters.
As a kid I loved the Nova character. So I’d be pretty jazzed about seeing Nova come to the big screen.
On TV, Revolution is coming back pretty soon. But will you watch? I’ve forgotten what the heck has happened, except for whiny girl’s furrowed forehead and her inability to transmit more than one emotion.
But hey, we’ll see.
And great, so the bad guy as a tiny generator that helps electricity exist within a small square area for his equipment to work. If you think about it, that completely throws out classic pincer-move tactics. Only one part of the pincer will work while the other flounders to a grinding halt.
Food for Thought: Historically, when NBC has given a show this HUGE of a break, they’re eyeballing it with the cancel hatchet. But once again, more promises of more mysteries being solved or explained are all part of the promotional process.
Breaking Bad Where???
