Predators, Directed by Nimrod Antal and produced by Robert Rodriguez, has a new and revamped website up and running. It offers video previews and can be a busy site, as in bandwidth busy. This is not a dial-up friendly page as my CPU cycles were tacked out while I was on the site.
As you hit up the site, you’re presented with a preview clip, with the option to charge on into the site.
Once past the preview, you’re presented with a rotating background home page and a menu in the upper left portion of the screen. The menu, chosen by your new mouse cursor, in the shape of a shoulder-mounted-predator-cannon-tridot laser tag, gives you options to choose from:
- Home
- Story
- Videos
- Gallery
- Downloads
- Cast & Crew.

63% of all homes have pets. Predators would seem to be no exception!
Each category, I feel is pretty self explanatory! The “gallery” has 5 pictures (at the time that I visited) and the “downloads” section holds 4 wallpapers. None of which, have any stills of any of the Predators or their pets. The “Cast & Crew” section will be “coming soon.”
In the upper right hand corner is a menu titled “Features.” The only feature right now is called “Characters” and takes you to a sliding menu type screen where you can choose any of the character names from the movie to check them out.
Predator from Alien vs. Predator
From what I’ve seen so far, I can’t tell who is going to steal the show for me. Adrien Brody as Royce the “stone-cold” mercenary, Laurence Fishburne as Noland, Danny Trejo as Cuchillo*, a drug cartel enforcer (“Does this look like a team orientated group of individuals to you?”), or Walton Goggins as Stans the mass murderer.
Of late, I’ve been slowly becoming an appreciative fan of Goggins after having seen him in The Shield and presently starring in Justified. Hence, I had to pull him into the mix of contenders. I pulled in Brody more due to the fact that he seems to be the main character.
A Predator Alien on Earth at Comic-Con
Now this is a Predator movie. Hence, my assumption is that much like the first Predator movie starring (“Ah’ll be bach!“) Arnold Schwarzenegger, all but one of the team members dies. With Adrien Brody being the star, my guess is that he’ll survive. But this is they day and age of plot twists and surprises. From the previews, I feel like Laurence Fishburne has a lot to offer the band of unsavory characters. His is the voice-over we hear in all the TV ads. Mayhaps all his knowledge will allow him to outlast everyone? I mean face it, [SPOILER?: he's been living on the Predators alien planet for a long time.]

Predators opens in theaters July 9th, 2010. The cast includes Danny Trejo, Adrien Brody, Topher Grace, Laurence Fishburne, Alice Braga, Derek Mears & Walton Goggins.

*Did you know that Danny Trejo’s character name, Cuchillo, is also the name of a Ghost Town in New Mexico? Cuchillo also means knife in Spanish. Hmm. Trejo and a knife wielding character? Where have we seen that before? Ah, in one of my favorite “fun flicks,” Desperado!
