Press Release Swarm: Snow White, Hallmark, Thanksgiving Parade & More

Cinema Static - TV News, Movie News and other Entertainment OpinionI’m ripping through my collective of press releases that I get in my inbox and thought I’d toss out some TV news and movie news bites.  You’ve probably heard these news bits already, but what the heck… just in case you haven’t.  There’s news on the Snow White movie, Martha Stewart, NBC’s Thanksgiving parade telecast, a Jurassic Park game, and a few other actor tidbits.

We’ve been hearing about an untitled Snow White movie from Relativity Media… now it’s been given a title…

But it’s being called a comedy action adventure, being directed by Tarsem Singh (Immortals, The Cell).

The countdown to Turkey Day begins for Hallmark Channel’s The Martha Stewart Show which airs on weekdays on the Hallmark Channel at 10 AM ET/9 AM C.    Viewers can tune-in each week leading up to Thanksgiving to receive some helpful tips and solutions from a plethora of culinary experts.

Aside from Martha’s Thanksgiving focused episodes this month, she will also be using her social media outlets to help those who have questions.

On Wednesday, Nov. 23 Martha will be helping solve viewers’ turkey dilemmas via email, Skype, Facebook and twitter on her “Thanksgiving Hotline Show.”

The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be marching down the streets for the 85th year and it will be telecast on NBC from 9 a.m. to Noon (All Time Zones) on Thursday, November 24th.

Gerard Butler, Sam Worthington and Matthew McConaughey will star in Freedom Films’ upcoming action thriller Thunder Run with Simon West directing.

Thunder Run is an all CG 3-D action thriller based on the novel “Thunder Run – The Armored Strike to Capture Baghdad,” by Pulitzer Prize-winning correspondent David Zucchino.   Screenwriters Robert Port and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down) will bring the story to life for the silver screen.

The Graphic Film Company will be utilizing its proprietary facial-capture technology that they used on the upcoming Night of the Living Dead: Origins 3-D movie, which is the same motion capture technology used in Avatar.


Just before Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2, arrives on DVD (11/11), another DVD is coming to the public.  The creator of the franchise, titled Magic Beyond Words: The J.K. Rowling Story,  the top-rated Lifetime Original Movie will be on store shelves, where it chronicles the struggle to bring the beloved wizard fantasy to life as a single mother on welfare and become one of the world’s wealthiest women.  Following its Lifetime Network airing this past July, the rags-to-riches tale arrives on DVD…only from A+E Networks Home Entertainment


ENCORE Originals will be debuting The Take, which is a four-part miniseries starring Tom Hardy and based on Martina Cole’s best-selling crime thriller novel.  It will premiere on Friday, December 2nd at 9pm et/pt, and will air the subsequent parts on Friday nights at 9pm et/pt through December 23rd.
