There’s been a bunch of conjecture out there that the Ridley Scott movie, Prometheus, might or might not have much of the alien in it. But that never made sense to me. The project originally started out as a prequel trilogy to the Alien franchise. I actually never doubted that there wouldn’t be Aliens in the movie.
Today, the website Sky Movies HD reports that they have the exclusive from an inside source (hmm) that the xenomorph alien monster is an integral part of Prometheus. Again, this doesn’t surprise me much.
What else they add to their exclusive is that they’ve built the space jockey cockpit back at Pinewood studios. They have other details regarding the movie but if they’re true, give a bunch more away. So if they’re true, then there are more spoilers at the source.
Yet this contradicts statements made about the movie from Mr. Scott. Such as “Alien was indeed the jumping off point for this project,” then goes on to say “The keen fan will recognize strands of Alien’s DNA, so to speak, but the ideas tackled in this film are unique, large and provocative.”
Was he being literal or evasive?
Again, this conjecture is just that, created from this news bit, if this unnamed source is accurate. I’m not knocking them, but I’ve seen “inside sources” blow up at other sites before, so I’m just touching on this with a grain of salt.
