Echelon Conspiracy
Stars: Shane West, Ed Burns, Ving Rhames, Tamara Feldman, And Martin Sheen
Directed By: Greg Marcks
2009 RATED PG-13 105 MIN.
If you must know, the majority of this film imitates the style of the Bourne franchise as it relies on a good agent/bad agent formula. As with all conspiracy films, the hero locates the source of the conspiracy, even as you’ve already figured it out much sooner yourself.
At this point, you’re asking yourself why you bought this movie when you suddenly realize that you didn’t pay full price!
As you watch Echelon Conspiracy, one can’t help but notice Shane West reminds you of a young William Shatner. He would have been perfectly cast as Kirk in the latest Star Trek film.
If you look at the over cliché feeling of the script and PG-13 action, Echelon Conspiracy is kept from going too far beyond the quality of your basic Sly-Fy movie of the week.
If your desperate for a mild action spy drama “Echelon Conspiracy” is a rental at best.
I give the film a 4 out of 10.
