If you’ve been reading Cinema Static on S.o.B, you know I’ve been drooling about the newest Predator movie that’s coming out called Predators.
It was first thought to be a remake, but it’s an update of sorts and has been touted as a kick butt movie by those who have seen the script. We know that (SPOILERS? Following)
We know that humans are abducted and dropped in a preserve on the Predator planet. We watch the 8 humans get hunted by predator dogs, predator falcons and some sort of super Predator that organizes the whole party.
On Saturday, 16 January, some images found their way to the interent on the AVP Galaxy website.
They look like camera phone quality, but they’re kind of cool.
The post they were posted on declared that the images could be considered spoilers. So you are warned, but I am so so jazzed about these images.

Interesting tidbits: Back in 1994 Robert Rodriguez had already devised a script for a 3rd Predator movie but after poor box office performance by the 2nd movie and the potential costs of his idea, it never happened. On the other hand, elements from that 1994 idea have found their way into this version of Predators… finally!!!
Did I mention I’m so looking forward to this movie!

That’s that. There are WERE more pictures from Predators on the AVP forum, but 20th Century Fox had them pull the images. Here’s hoping that no one from the studios finds me and asks to have them removed… just in case they aren’t authorized or something! Hmm… This is the advantage of being small fry?
