Rolex 24 NASCAR Driver Finishing Spots

With the number of NASCAR drivers that competed in the Rolex 24, I had to wonder where everyone finished in the race.

First, the Action Express team won the race.  The Action Express No. 9 Porsche Riley Daytona Prototype was manned by Joao Barbosa, Terry Borcheller, Ryan Dalziel and Mike Rockefeller.  That’s a big congrats to the team.

The Chip Ganassi car driven by Juan Pablo Montoya, Dario Franchitti, Scott Dixon and Jamie McMurray looked promising as they led for 139 laps but the engine called it quits around the bewitching hour on Saturday night.  (Midnight)

The Gainsco/Bob Stallings Chevrolet that Jimmie Johnson was driving decided to eject the oil pump.  NO, it didn’t really eject, but I’m trying to find exciting terms that indicate the death of a working motor part!

The best finishing team that had any NASCAR affiliation was Colin Braun’s Krohn Racing team, who finished 4th.

Better luck next year to the rest of the gang!
