Ron Perlman as Clay in Sons of Anarchy

If you’re a Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy, Hellboy) fan, you may be happy to know that he’s looking to join the cast of a movie called Angry Little God.

Angry Little God will be a remake of 13: Game of Death.  A Thai production.

Perlman is not the lead, just part of a cast that includes Mark Webber.

Other things the Ron Perlman is in that’s coming out include Pinochhio, Pacific Rim, Kid Cannabis, Savage Mutts, Tibilisi My City, and Crave. Rumors suggest he’s reprising that red role for Hellboy 3 and a possible Halo role.  Yea, right.  Halo.

Production Still of Alex Kingston in Doctor Who

Alex Kingston will be gracing the set of NCIS in a November episode, where she will be playing a merchant who moves all kinds of things, like guns, jewels, and other everyday criminal inventory!

And Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will supposedly, need to depend on her for the case he’s working on.

I like seeing her on the small screen.  I have fond memories of her role from her ER days, plus she was devilishly fun in Doctor Who, of late.

Dracula on NBC

NBC has a new series coming out called Dracula.  I’ll let you deduce what it’s about.  The sales pitch is that this, yet another Dracula tale, is like Dangerous Liaisons meets The Tudors.

If they say so.

Though Vampires are all the rage for now, there are a few cool tidbits about this new TV project.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers to play Dracula

Jonathan Rhys Meyers (who was actually in The Tudors) will be playing Dracula.

What does have me interested is that Dan Knauf has signed on to this 10-episode series to be the showrunner and head writer.

He was the brain behind an oddly interesting HBO series called Carnivale.  And if you could get into that show, it wore on you and was pretty interesting.

If he has his run of this new Drac series and it lasts for all 10 episodes, it could be pretty interesting.

Here’s the synopsis:

“Dracula (Meyers) arrives in London, posing as an American entrepreneur who maintains that he wants to bring modern science to Victorian society. In reality, he hopes to wreak revenge on the people who ruined his life centuries earlier but falls hopelessly in love with a woman who seems to be a reincarnation of his dead wife.”

Like I said, it could be interesting, as it mixes the genre of vampires with the latest trend of revenge-like plots.

And we all know how sweet revenge can be.  Especially when served cold!
