Team owner Tony Stewart (L), Ruiz Foods President & CEO Bryce Ruiz (C), and Ryan Newman (R), announce Tornados as a new sponsor for the #39
Stewart-Haas Racing came out of the gate in their inaugural year completely on fire, blowing away most everyone’s expectations of 1st-year team struggles.
In other words, Tony Stewart did his homework and set his team up properly.
Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) walked away from 2009 with
- 5 five wins,
- 2 poles and
- Both cars in the Chase for the Championship.
Kudos to Tony and his team.
Performing well brings sponsors who want to be seen. In this case, the 2-car NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team signed up a 2-year deal with Tornados, a brand of Dinuba, Calif.-based Ruiz Foods.
Tornados, the bold taste of savory meats, real cheeses and zesty sauces rolled in a crispy seasoned crust.
Tornados will be on Ryan Newman’s No. 39 Chevrolet Impala as a primary sponsor for 5 Sprint Cup races in 2010.
When not being in place as the No. 39′s primary sponsor, they will be an associate sponsor on Ryan’s lower-rear quarterpanel.
Tony Stewart’s No. 14 Office Depot/Old Spice Chevrolet Impala will also have Tornados as an associate sponsor where their colors will rub up other fenders in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races.
This sponsor contract will also be in affect for the 2011 season in a similar deal with both cars.
The No. 39 Tornados Chevrolet will be on track in
- March at Atlanta Motor Speedway and will return in
- April at Phoenix International Raceway, in
- July at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway, in
- August at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn and
- October visit to Martinsville (Va.) Speedway.
Go Ryan!
