Skyline is a movie about a small group of survivors holed up in a Los Angeles high rise. Survivors? Yep, they’ve survived some kind of alien attack. The attack is in the form of people being abducted from the Earth as they’re hunted like animals. Rumor has it that we’ll be seeing a trailer pop up for it on Friday at Comic-Con so stay alert gang!
Skyline stars Eric Balfour, Donald Faison, David Zayas, Scottie Thompson & Brittney Daniel. It’s directed by Greg and Colin Strause. These two were the visual effect designers behind a few movies we might have heard of: Jonah Hex, The Book of Eli, Avatar, 2012, Wolverine, The Incredible Hulk… egads, the list of big named movie just goes on and on. So they’ve supervised some serious visuals on some seriously popular movies. Do you think they have what it takes to direct an action flick? I’m thinking yes.
The plot of Skyline:
“After a late night party, a group of friends are awoken in the dead of the night by an eerie light beaming through the window. Like moths to a flame, the light source is drawing people outside before they suddenly vanish into the air. They soon discover an otherworldly force is swallowing the entire human population off the face of the earth. Now our band of survivors must fight for their lives as the world unravels around them.”
Skyline is scheduled to come out in theaters November 12th, 2010.
