New shows, renewals and premiere dates…
The Simpsons found themselves getting yet one more renewal from Fox, this time good for another two years. And the mindlessly fun animated keeps on going… It is amazing how this show resonates with the world on a Sunday night. It’s the perfect lead-in to Mondays for most!
NBC Picks Up New Shows
NBC ordered a “Chicago Fire” spin-off called “Chicago Med,” because, you know, we don’t have enough shows where doctors are “bumping uglies” in broom closets.
There will be other NBC news coming up next week to about the upcoming new season.
Beauty and the Beast
The CW recently announced that the third season of Beauty and the Beast will be premiering on June 11th, instead of its originally slotted date of May 21st. It’s good news to see it has a premiere date (still) and even better to know that previously, The CW renewed the show for a fourth season also. But I never take sway for those kinds of early renewals because anything can happend and things change.
Yes, you read right, and believe it or not, Supergirl was ordered to series on, of all networks, CBS! There’s no report of when it will actually air yet, being as they’re trying to figure out what time slot is best for this genre, which is a younger demo.
Next week the network upfronts will commence yet again for the upcoming 2015/2016 TV season. This is when advertisers drop around $10 billion (per season) go get their loud, advertising wares and time slots in our faces for the upcoming new shows.
Obviously they drop the big bucks on the popular shows while spending less on the least favored but still hanging on TV shows.
I’ll let you know as press releases are sent out what’s what where and when. Or something like that.
