Erica Durance as Lois Lane in SMALLVILLE
I caught the news that Erica Durance (Smallville‘s Lois Lane) and Michael Shanks (Smallville‘s Hawkman & Stargate‘s Dr. Daniel Jackson) are starring in a Canadian medical drama series called Saving Hope.
If NBC gets the price it wants, we’ll be seeing the series in a 13-episode summer run.
Saving Hope has Erica Durance playing a surgeon and Michael Shanks plays her husband… who is in a coma. But while he’s in a coma, he wanders the halls in spirit form.
Saving Hope is executive produced by Ilana Frank, whose track record includes some favorites of mine, Rookie Blue, so my hopes are a notch above buzzing.
It will be great to see Shanks again. The last time I saw him in a role since his parts in Stargate and Smallville, was Red Riding Hood… but it was a short-lived role, as the werewolf ate him.
