I just caught the Smallville episode titled “Idol.” And if you’re even more time shifted in your viewing habits than I am, beware, I’m not holding out spoilers but I’m not looking to blabber every detail.
Lois (Erica Durance), to me, seems to be the most incosistent character. The hard driving reporter no longer seems that hard driving. She’s snarky, but with no snarky strength. She started out all cocky and tough on the outside, but now she seems to be falling apart. (Then again, love can mess you up pretty bad in the head.)
I liked how bravely Clark (Tom Welling) faced the issue of trying to save Lois with a crowd looking on. Man, for just a moment, I thought the ghost was up when Wathctower’s phone software took a blip and let Clark’s voice through.
Did Chloe (Allison Mack) not look all wise and cool as she lectured the Wonder Twins? Today I was really impressed with the “in charge” Chlie.
Ah, the Wonder Twins. When I first took note that the Wonder Twins were coming to Smallville, I shuddered. I cringed. And that monkey too!? I was so surprised how low keyed they were played and that the only appearance that purple monkey made was on the back of a cell phone. NICE! David Gallagher (7th Heaven) and Allison Scagliotti (Warehouse 13) did a nice low-keyed approach.
I thought this was a turning point in character growth for everyone involved. Anyone else feel the same say. Cinema Static on SoB welcomes all (civil) and constructive comments! Thanks.
