Programming Change Alert:  Inside TV is reporting that The CW has made a late, last-minute change to their programming schedule for Friday (1/2728) night.

Instead of showing the mid-season returns of Smallville and Supernatural, and replacing them with encore broadcasts of The Vampire Diaries and Nikita.  The mid-season returns of Smallville and Supernatural have been pushed back one week and will now be airing on Friday, February 4th.

Why?

A CW insider indicated to Inside TV multiple reasons for the change up are multi-fold:

  • The Vampire Diaries was up against American Idol,
  • The CW wanted to give Diaries a better sampling for their return premiere,
  • Market pre-emptions in Baltimore & Chicago on this Friday night.

So we’ll all catch each other next week for the mid-season premiere of both Smallville and Supernatural.

In the meantime, since I’m suspecting many viewers are upset about this change, here are some preview clips from the upcoming premieres:

Regarding the CW television network’s last-minute schedule change: Your writers added to the confusion and anger factor by typing “Friday (1/27) night”. Last time I checked, “Friday” falls on January 28 in the year 2011. Bad job. Bad. Poor work. Poor.

SERIOUSLY Nelson??? I go out of my way to let people know about the delay, and you nit about a frakking typo??? Wow!!! Just… wow.

Thanks for letting me know about the typo in your civil fashion and I’m thinking, that for the record, nothing I’ve said here riled the fans of either show. Gimme a break.
