'Snow Beast' review on Syfy channel

Hang on tight for this snappy, snarky or painful review of Snow Beast, a TV movie I caught on Syfy!

'Snow Beast' TV review on Syfy channel I just caught the the secret “mega-hit” Snow Beast on Syfy. Snow Beast stars John Schneider (Whose career spirals ever farther south), Jason London, Danielle Chuchran, Paul D. Hunt and Kari Hawker as Marci.

Snow Beast is directed and produced by Brian Brough.

First up…  It took about an hour before we got see the our main cast actually interact with the horrifying machine of snowy death.

Second… Marci is a huge and total idiot.  We know the death dealing furball  is dangerous, but she insists on taking a camera and going outside to go look for it.  While out, she seems to segue into a nature photography outing and starts snapping shots of fauna sticking out of the snow.  Then it shows up and does the “crush puny human” stunt on her…  it seemed to be the perfect Darwinian ending.

And the acting was very, very even keel in energy.  By that I mean it seemed that everyone was handed Xanax and then told, “Action!”

Whether it’s a dire need to run for their lives or an impassioned line about a loved one in distress, they deliver on an incredibly even keel.

The movie ends on a note that leaves the movie viewer fully aware that they can easily create a sequel.

If you see this bad boy of TV movies come along, don’t go out of your way to watch this bad boy.  It was pretty bad.

John Schneider in 'Snow Beast'On a cool note, I see John Schneider getting in many Syfy movies and it’s cool that the production company and Schneider are so dedicated to each other to keep giving him roles in their movies.

At least I think that’s a good thing!
