J.J. Abrams made one heck of an impression with me with his retelling of Star Trek in his eyes. Making it new, and yet, keeping some old in the franchise. I dare feel like it was a brilliant spin to make Star Trek a fresh franchise.
So obviously I’m looking forward to the next chapter of J.J. Abrams Star Trek vision. And hot diggity, we now have a date for the next installment.
The tentative date reported by Paramount for the sequel is to be the 29th of June, 2012.
This news creates a bit of confusion in me. I hate wishing time away, but, well, I guess I can say I’m looking forward to June of 2012.
Now I wonder with this date announcement, what studios are lookng to avoid or compete with Paramount in this weekend?
