Stargate Showrunners On Tap for New Series, ‘The Transporter’ [Rumor Review]

The showrunners behind Stargate, Joseph Mallozzi and Paul Mullie and Robert C. Cooper might be getting back together for an action oriented new TV series.

Though there’s no official report yet, the guesses out on the street are saying that it’s very possible (and this is CONJECTURE, not news) that the trio will be the showrunners behind the EuropaCorp produced TV series titled The Transporter, based on the movie franchise of the same name with Jason Statham.

Filming starts up in Canada sometime this year, where they have a U.S. Broadcaster on board, dropping a near $4 million per episode for a 12-episode season.

The same studio is behind The CW’s Nikita.  With a $4M per episode, I’m going out on a limb and conjecturing with if the studio is staying in the same house as they are in with Nikita and I’m suggesting CBS, the parent of the CW will be the network hosting The Transporter.

Now, we wait and see.
