Sundance Channel and sundancechannel.com will feature exclusive coverage of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival as part of Sundance Channel’s January celebration, “31 Days of Sundance.” The coverage will span the ten days of Sundance Film Festival, which takes place from January 21 – January 31 in Park City, Utah. Sundance Channel will present daily Festival video updates and, for the first time, will supplement this reportage with up-to-the-minute coverage on its website, sundancechannel.com, from two respected journalists: Dennis Lim, Editorial Director at the Museum of the Moving Image and former film editor for the Village Voice, and Paula Froelich, former deputy editor at the show business gossip institution Page Six. “31 Days of Sundance” will enable viewers to design their own personal Sundance Film Festival experience throughout the month of January, with nightly double bills of feature films and shorts from past festivals and a 12-title package of features on Sundance Channel On Demand available through select cable operators.

Daily video coverage of the 2010 Sundance Film Festival will air interstitially on Sundance Channel and will be available on the dedicated website. Short-form elements include:
· “Meet the Filmmaker” 12 profiles of filmmakers who have films screening at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
· “Interview” – interviews with people involved with the Sundance Films Festival conducted by pop culture commentator Faith Salie.
· “Wrap-up” – Two short form pieces that offer a summation of the highlights of the 2010 Sundance Festival.

Sundance Channel’s dedicated website for “31 Days of Sundance” will launch on December 21. The site, sundancechannel.com, will feature original content unavailable anywhere else on the web. Among the highlights:
· Critic Dennis Lim will cover the Festival films with daily reviews and observations. Lim writes about film and popular culture for various publications, including The New York Times and The Los Angeles Times. He is currently Editorial Director at the Museum of the Moving Image and was formerly the film editor of the Village Voice.
· Journalist/author Paula Froelich will report daily on the Festival scene and cover film deals, parties and all the action on the streets of Park City. Froelich is the former deputy editor of the influential Page Six column at the New York Post and she currently blogs for the Huffington Post.
· Exclusive photo galleries dedicated to feature filmmakers and actors in the Sundance Channel Studio, film premieres and parties throughout the Festival. These galleries will be updated daily.
Feature selections of “31 Days of Sundance” air every night in January 2010 at 8:00pm et/pt and include James Marsh’s Oscar®-winning look at tightrope daredevil Phillipe Petit, Man on Wire (Jury Prize, Audience Award, SFF 08); Noah Baumbach’s comedy/drama about a fracturing family, The Squid and the Whale (Directing, Screenwriting awards, SFF 05); and the U.S. television premiere of Baltasar Kormákur’s crime noir A Little Trip To Heaven (SFF 06), starring Academy Award® winner Forest Whitaker, Julia Stiles and Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker).
