The CW released an extended preview of video of the upcoming 6th season of Supernatural. Some of it seems to be rehash of past scenes, some not. I’m pretty excited to see what develops with the Winchester brothers under the guidance of the show’s new showrunner, Sera Gamble, taking over as the venerable Eric Kripke steps back from the position.
Remember, Supernatural is returning on Friday nights, which is good since I’m boycotting wrestling that will be on the Syfy Channel Fridays.
SPOILERS: The show is approaching the plot via a monster a week formula. Dean will be more domesticated, Castiel is the big cheese up “there,” and things have changed. Like vampires that can walk during the day. The atmosphere of the show will be more like film noir. (If Magazine) Here’s a previous press release from The CW on the 6th season of Supernatural:
SUPERNATURAL: Season six will be a season of mystery and shadow. Heaven and Hell have been left in complete disarray since the apocalyptic events of season five. And now, monsters, angels and demons roam across a lawless and chaotic landscape. And so Dean Winchester, who has retired from hunting and sworn never to return, finds himself being pulled back into his old life – pulled back by none other than Sam Winchester, who has escaped from Hell. The two reunite to beat back the rising tide of creatures and demon-spawn, but they quickly realize that neither are who they used to be, their relationship isn’t what it used to be, and that nothing is what it seems.
