Supernatural & Smallville Get Additional Seasons

Back in early January I talked about Smallville getting being looked at for a 10th season.  I can’t imagine too many fans being grumbly about that.

Smallville

Now CinemaSpy is reporting on the development that the Tom Welling starring-platform, Smallville is indeed getting that 10th season!   I guess that’s good.  But they seem to have pulled out a lot of stops this season to make a show-closing impact on the audience.  To go out with a bang.  (It was fervently believed that this 9th season was going to be their last.)

Yet Smallville isn’t their only popular series.

I happen to love Supernatural with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalacki.

Originally, show creator Erik Kripke had envisioned a 5-year story line, and that story line is coming to a close this season.

But CinemaSpy is reporting that they’ve been apprised that Supernatural HAS indeed been signed up for a 6th season.

That is awesome news for any fan of the show!

Now where could they go from here?  The Apocalypse isn’t just some fly-by-night story line.  But when that wraps up, what do Dean and Sam deal with?

Do we get some origin stories?  Or does the team possibly grow?  I’d love to see more hunters.  Hot looking hunters at that!  But they don’t need hot to make the show good.  I’m just saying.

Awesome…  that’s all, just awesome.

Why haven’t we heard any announcements yet?  Speculation is that the announcements will come by the end of January…  when the President of the production company, Warner Bros. Television, Peter Roth, visits the show sets in Vancouver.

Mucho thanks to CinemaSpy for sharing the cool info.
