For the month of February, the Syfy Channel (Note the correct spelling gang!) has two new movies coming at Syfy Channel fans.  Iron Invader & Area 51.

February 12th:  Iron Invader

In Iron Invader, a meteorite with space bacteria slams into a junk yard.  Junk yard.  Movie title…  meteorite with space bacteria…  if you haven’t done the math, then you’ll be in for a great surprise as the alien source of metal infection creates a huge metalworks monster that goes on a killing spree!

Cast includes Kavan Smith (Eureka, Red: Werewolf Hunter). Nicole de Boer (Dead Zone, Stargate: Atlantis) and Donnelly Rhodes (Battlestar Galactica, Tron: Legacy).

February 26th:  Area 51

The Air Force decides to let a few reporters into their super secret base called Area 51.  During that visit, one of the captive aliens leads a break out.

The cast includes Bruce Boxleitner (Tron: Legacy, Babylon 5), John Shea (Lois & Clark: The Adventures of Superman, Mutant X) and Jason London (Dazed and Confused, MonsterWolf) and comes from After Dark Films.

The film will be directed by Jason Connery, Sean Connery’s son.

Also…  I’ll be interested to know where they geographically place the secret airbase.  They moved it from Nevada some time ago!

One thing I forgot to say… Too Stargate and Aliens. needs more military facts and factuality.

Okay… Great concept. I am a 16 year USAF veteran and this was crazy. The relationship between airmen and the NCO’s was all wrong. A senior airman would never talk or react to a master sergent in the manner that happened here. Also, I was a security policeman as well and the way the actors held the weapons was absolutely ridiculous and WRONG! this program was a great concept in relation to the excellent Eureka program but was lacking in so many factual, military accuracies. Please forgive any spelling errors as this is on my iPhone.
