During the annual New Year’s marathon of The Twilight Zone on the Syfy Channel, the cable net actually pulled in 1.02 viewers for their 16th annual running of the Zone.  That number is up eight percent from last year.  Cool… I had company, even if it was remotely!  I think it’s a pretty long-lived and exciting series that just never gets old, no matter what year it is.

Syfy Channel Press Release Snippet:

From 6AM-8PM on New Year’s Day, the marathon of Rod Serling’s iconic series averaged 1.16 million total viewers, up 17 percent versus January 1, 2010. During 8-11PM prime, viewership climbed to 1.54 million.

On Friday, December 31, The Twilight Zone trapped nearly one million total viewers (910,000) in that middle ground between science and superstition, peaking from 10-11PM at 1.2 million. That was up eight percent versus the comparable December 31, 2009 10-11PM time slot.
