Not sure where this is going, but the Syfy Channel has ordered up a reality TV show titled Hunting Hollywood. In it, Joe Maddalena (The owner of Profiles in History org) will have over the shoulder company in the form of a camera crew as he goes about town & the world looking for cool things from the sci-fi and fantasy genre.
It will be a 6 episode series and will be a great highlight to their incredible auctions, which they will end each episode with. Their auctions have some of the coolest things from old and new films. I just wish I had a BIGGER piggy-bank to play with.
Of course, this is yet another reality-type TV series that Syfy is investing in. Not sure when it will play, but it sounds like a dual edged bonus for both parties. Being reality TV, it will be cheap to make, and I’m sure, it will be interesting to viewers to watch what stuff Maddalena finds. It’s also going to be a great 6-epi advertisement for Profiles in History.
Eh, we’ll see how it turns out.
