Syfy’s Being Human Premiere Pulls In The Numbers

If you piled in to watch the premiere of Syfy’s adaptation of Being Human, you weren’t alone.  The show pulled in just under 2 million viewers, right at 1.96M viewers.

With the 1.96 million viewers having seen the first premiere of Being Human, even more folks piled in for the 2 encore airings, bringing the total tally of viewers up to 3.8 million.

With no surprise, the show pulled in on of the largest female demographic in the 18-49 range in the network’s history.  Gee, I wonder how that happened!?

If you missed it, I’m sure the Syfy Channel will re-air the premiere and I’m betting if you’ve seen the premiere, you’ll definitely be tuning in for the 2nd episode.  If you haven’t caught the show yet, I’d suggest checking it out!  (Here’s my take after previewing the first three episodes: Being Human Premiere Review)

Here are the numbers, in snippets from the proud press release from Syfy:

a 1.6 HH rating and 1.961 million total viewers (1.005 million Adults 18-49 and 984,000 Adults 25-54), and becoming the channel’s most watched scripted winter series launch since 2005.”

Of the 1 million Adults 18-49 tuning in, 58% (582,000) were women — the highest percentage of female viewers ever for a Syfy original scripted series telecast.
