Winston, then NEXTEL, Now Sprint. We the fans are trying to settle on a series name. Can we please have a single title name for more than 5 years?
Right right, news on the street is that to avoid competition price wars, T-Mobile is looking at the idea of buying out Sprint Nextel.
It’s an odd market we live in where instead of continuing to lower prices to garner more customers, a company just buys out the competition. Oh, wait – Microsoft does that all too often!
T-Mobile has been hurting, compared to Verizon, AT&T and Sprint but I’m not sure something like this could be allowed. At least in the eyes of anti-trust moguls go since this would be eliminating the competitive market between companies, and creating a larger entity IF, all of this is said and done.
If this comes to be, you know we’ll be in for more squabbling of what sponsors have to grandfathered into the sport and what sponsors get the boot. Then what teams may or would suffer because of this. At least that’s the guess right now.
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE!

If T-Mobile does buy out Sprint, will we get to proclaim Catherine Zeta Jones as our spokesperson? That would be yummy!!
Sine all this business news isn’t really this newsletters ball of wax, I’d suggest that for much more gory business details, check out this CNET news LINK.
(PS: I read in a local paper here in the Bay Area that 87 out of every 100 Americans has a cell phone… damn dangit, that’s near total market saturation. Just how are they going to start getting more money out of us now? Oh yea, more fees and price hikes… probably… in my humble opinion.)
