On September 3rd, Comic Con’s Twitter account announced that 4-Day and 1-Day passes will become available on Monday, November 1st at Comic-con.org. for the 2011 Comic Con event!
My first thoughts were wow, that’s pretty early but then again, considering the crowd size and all, this early of a date seems appropriate. If you think about it, the 2010 Comic Con event sold out pretty early, at least for the tickets folks wanted.
As I was sitting down to write something up, I went back to their twitter site to double check if they’ve added anything else to the information and they posted the reminder that the “4-Day passes that include Preview Night” were already sold out!

Skyline Movie Legal Troubles
-
It seems that Sony is looking to squash the competition. Sony has Battle: Los Angeles coming out next year, while Hydraulix, who is producing Skyline, will be coming out in November of this year. Skyline made a big impact when they premiered their preview at Comic Con and there was a lot of enthusiasm towards the project.
But Sony is alleging that Hydraulix used Sony proprietary equipment to make their human sucking alien invasion movie. Ya see, Hydraulix did the special effects for Sony’s pic too.
Obviously the timing looks suspicious since Sony said they had no clue Skyline existed until July… even though Greg Stause of Hydraulix said they pitched the movie to Sony last fall. Then sources say that no one showed Sony anything.
He said, she said. They said, they said. Here we go.
Hydraulix says the charges are merit-less and is only a ploy to delay the release of their alien invasion movie so it doesn’t open until after Sony’s alien invasion movie.
On the bright side, they’re not vampire movies?
