This is more of a warning than a review! LOL.

You know, the trailers for Suburbicon are seriously misleading. With all the scenes portrayed in the sequence they’re shown, it would almost seem to look like some kind of light comedy, but IT IS NOTHING like that. No, instead, we get a long, drawn out act one and mostly act two before the real crux of the story comes out. And then there’s that ugly side of society that acts like a second story you’re thinking will somehow join up with the main story, but it never really does.

All in all, this film was a painfully looooong 1 hour and 45 minute film. It felt like three hours.

Matt Damon Movies.

Directed by George Clooney, and starring Matt Damon, Julianne Moore, & Oscar Isaac (who barely utters a word), the story takes place around an all-white neighborhood in the 60s, as we follow the life of Gardner (Damon) who early on becomes the victim of a home invasion robbery that goes south, ending in a fatality. Meanwhile, in the house behind them, a black family moves in, causing strife in this idyllic, all-white, extremely racist neighborhood. And it’s an ugly side of life that we see.
