Teen Titans on TV

At some point in recent time it seems that TNT had announced they’re doing they’re own superhero series, and this one is based on the Teen Titan franchise, titled Titans.

In TNT’s version they’ll have Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Hawk, Dove, Raven and Starfire.

As you can see they’re taking the slightly less grounded characters to fly with (no pun) and taking a swing at the television landscape of superheros.

It could work, but keep in mind, that excluding The Flash on The CW, most of the other superhero genre shows have had characters that have been fairly grounded in reality of a sorts.

Will TNT try to keep it as grounded or let fly with the super powers? Either way, I always loved the transition that Dick Grayson made when he converted from Robin to Nightwing.

And of course, there’s always the question that begs being asked, and that’s if there now ever be a crossover between this show and Arrow or The Flash?

Marvel’s Daredevil is coming to Netflix in a few months and a teaser trailer was released. It looks like it will be a nice, dark and gritty show. Doesn’t surprise me. Show runner Steven S. DeKnight does dark and gritty very well. This is going to be the first in a series of Marvel Cinematic Universe products showing up on Netflix. The others being Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage.

Judging from how Daredevil looks in this preview, this will be more realistic and grounded than a guy running around in red tights with horns. IF that sticks to be true, NICE!

On the other hand, if they are following the dark origins of the character, this was his look in the Frank Miller and John Romita Jr. days, as Matt Murdock was discovering and testing his skills and spirit. In which case, we are probably destined to see the red suit before the season’s final episode.

ARROW Mid-Season Finale, A Review of Sorts

December 15, 2014

After I watched the mid-season finale of the CW’s Arrow, as much as I like what has been going on in the show this season, there seems to have been a few oddly rushed or over-done themes in this winter finale episode alone.
