If you’re a fan of G4 and Attack of the Show, AND you’re headed to WonderCon 2011, then the fates have aligned for you, my friends! G4 will have a booth at WonderCon 2011 all weekend long and staffed by a few personalities from G4.
They will be located at Booth #410, and they’ll be selling Attack of the Show and G4 stuff, plus there will be some freebies to boot.
But there will also be “talent signings” during the weekend and they mention an “All-new poster commemorating the new Iron Man anime series coming to G4 this July!”
It’s not impossible to get autographs from celebrities at the 2010 Comic-Con event. They have an entire section set up for scheduled autograph sessions. Different vendors (studios) also set up special times at their own booths for stars from their specific TV shows or movies but more than likely, most autographs are going to happen in that signature zone, as I call it. It’s open “from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Thursday through Saturday, and from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm Sunday. No autograph sessions will be held before or after these times.”
The one thing to be prepared for, is that some autographs will cost money. Some autographs require getting in a line or singing up for lottery pulls to get tickets. The stars have limited time, or have signed agreements to sign a set number of autographs. Either way, they’re busy folk and their spending their weekend time with Con attendees. You may also see some stars available for picture opps. Those too may cost a few bucks. Just be aware and ready. Bring that excess cash this week! That’s what I’m saying.
Also, be ready for lines and don’t try to pack your schedule in too tight. Tight time-lines will cause stress when one event lasts a touch longer than the other. Weigh out your favorites and make this a fun time. Bring good healthy snacks and water and enjoy your time at Comic-Con.
Comic-Con has a schedule of who is signing what. For example, Limited Signings are for the the cast from Mythbusters, the cast of Merlin, Stan Lee, The Cape & Attack of the Show personalities. You can see the schedule here (Limited Signings for Autographs at Comic-Con). Read the directions carefully at this link. They explain the important nuances for how to get tickets for these signings.
Attack of the Show is spawning itself a spin-off titled It’s Effin’ Science. It’s Effin Science was a segment in Attack of the Show, where two hosts conducted science experiments.
G4 has ordered 10 episodes and It’s Effin’ Science will premiere on June 15.
G4‘s Attack of the Show staff chose to torment me with this video snippet they slapped in my in-box from Olivia Munn’s latest photo shoot, for Maxim no less, so I thought I’d pass on the torment. Ha… I guess!
If you missed James Cameron’s appearance on G4 TVAttack of the Show last night (Thrus, 12/17), of which I’m guessing he talks about his latest little gig, Avatar, the gang sent me the video.
Avatar already has 4 Golden Globe nods… and opens today, Friday December 18th.
We see a quick clip of the hot blue babe taming a giant bird and then on the talk. I personally, would probably freeze up if I had a chance to talk to James Cameron. I’d be like… um, ah, Dude… cool movie. Can I have your autograph? Oh.. um… BRAIN LOCK!
Here are 2 thoughts and quotes to look forward from this clip:
“She had to be blankable.”
“3D on TV in the home.”
Here’s the 16 minute Attack of the Show James Cameron interview vid! I hope you enjoy your visit here to Cinema Static!
Tonight (Monday, November 16, 2009) on G4′sAttack of the Show, they will be interviewing J.J. Abrams about his Star Trek DVD and query him about the next Star Trek movie.
Of note, Abrams talks about
# Blu-Ray extras and his favorite deleted scene
# What fans can look forward to in the next film
~
Speaking of Star Trek, have you seen the newest (For me at least) Easter Egg news from the Star Trek movie?
“During the Drill Machine sequence as the Enterprise comes out of its barrel role amidst destruction of the other Federation ships above Vulcan, we cut to an interior Enterprise bridge over the shoulder of Kirk that is looking out through the front viewscreen. In space, R2-D2 is floating in the debris from about the top middle of the screen to the bottom right.”
This is the final installment (oh no!!!) of G4′s Attack of the Show Slasher School. It’s as funny as the first 3 and damnit if they better not make more somewhere down the line or, or, I’ll never watch this show again!!!
In this episode of G4′s Attack of the Show Slasher School, we determine the proper group of people to terrorize or kill. It’s equal opportunity for all here!
