Unstoppable starring Denzel Washington and Chris Pine

Unstoppable, starring Denzel Washington (The Book of Eli) and Chris Pine (Star Trek), is from 20th Century Fox and is “inspired by true events.”  It’s directed by Tony Scott (The A-Team, Deja Vu, Man on Fire) & written by Mike Bomback (Race to Witch Mountain, Live Free or Die Hard).

The movie is about two railroad company employees and the company who work frantically at stopping a runaway train before it derails and spills its load of combustible liquids and poisonous gas, where it could wipe out a city.

It also stars Rosario Dawson, Ethan Suplee, Jessy Schram, Kevin Dunn & many more.  It’s due out in theaters November 12th 2010 in the U.S..

SKYLINE Teaser Trailer Hits the Web Today

SKYLINE MOVIE

The Skyline movie has been keeping a fairly low profile up until late July when Skyline viral advertising hit the San Diego Comic Con event. They had some cool viral goodies and what not, but now, now we get to see a truly disturbing teaser trailer for Skyline.  It’s disturbing in a good way, that the trailer already sucked me in to the idea of the story.

In the last few moments of the trailer, they present a visual I don’t think I’ve ever seen in a movie… and, (here comes the pun) it sucks! You’ll see.

Skyline has a fairly fresh cast with

  • Eric Balfour (Spread, The Spirit),
  • Donald Faison (Something New, Remember the Titans),
  • David Zayas (The Expendables, Michael Clayton),
  • Scottie Thompson (Star Trek; TV Series: Trauma, NCIS) &
  • Brittney Daniel (White Chicks, TV Series: The Game).

Convention Alert from Cinema Static on Brusimm – WONDERCON 2010

Coming up this Friday, April 2nd through April 4th is WonderCon 2010.

WonderCon will be held at the Moscone Center South, in San Francisco, CA.  Nearly in my back yard and walking distance from the train, you can count me in!

I’ll be there all day, all night having some fun!  I may not be posting during the weekend because I’ll be running around like a head with its chicken cut off, but I’ll see what  I can do.  (I’ll probably be tweeting live at times!)
