2013-2014 TV season renewals and cancellations

If you are curious what TV shows have been renewed for the 2013-2014 Fall TV Season for ABC, CBS, NBC and the CW, look no further. (This will be an ongoing article, getting updated as networks release the news to the press.) (updated 4-27-13)

-

As the month of May comes around, so too, do the upfronts.

The upfronts is the time when the major non-cable TV networks pitch their wares to the advertisers.  Parts of those pitches is what shows, both new and returning, are in their lineups for the 2013-2014 TV Season.

I have 4 sections to this post: Renewed, New, Cancelled, and ALL shows alphabetically listed.  I’ll be updating the first three sections as often as the news comes out.  I have 2 sections in this article.  The first section is an alphabetical listing of all shows, as the news comes out.  The 2nd list is ordered via status of cancelled, Ended (Shows not renewed), NEW, and Renewed.  I’ll update the lists as often and as soon as I can.

-

4-26-13, NBC made a quickie announcement on some shows they’re renewing, so I will start my list with that.  And for one, I’m glad to see Grimm, Parenthood and Revolution on the list.  Yes, even Revolution.  I’d like to see where they take that story.

4-27-13, The CW is renewing Hart of Dixie and Beauty and the Beast and ordered the Vampires Dairies spinoff series, The Originals.  CBS announced Two and a Half Men 11th season also.

5-1-13, CBS made announcements on some series renewals back in late March about what shows are coming back, “comprising 16 hours of its primetime schedule, include four comedies, nine dramas, three reality series and two newsmagazines.

5-2-13, Updated with some FOX network shows and added cancelled titles to the list.

5-8-13 Update: FOX ordered some comedies and dramas and news is that Deception has been cancelled.

5-9-13 UPDATE: NBC, CBS, CW announced new show picked ups, renewals and cancellations.

5-10-13 UPDATE from CBS: I seriously hate to be the bearer of bad news, but CBS lopped off Vegas and CSI:NY.  See the ‘May 10′ updates in the lists below.

5-11-13 update:  ABC made late announcements on a slew of shows.

In the coming weeks, As more news comes out from the nets on their fall TV lineup, I’ll update this article with that information.  If a favorite title is not in the list, then the network has not released anything to the press yet.

So be sure to check back here to find out the latest from each network!

During Sandy, It’s Still All About The TV Ratings

October 31, 2012

While Sandy approached the New England coast, various businesses were shuttering doors and evacuating.  Some TV shows that use live audiences went on, but without the audience.  Other show productions were shut down.  It’s inevitable and the smart thing to do.  (And how weird was it that the new upcoming movie Noah, from Darren Aronofsky) [...]

Judge Did Not Put Stay on ABC’s ‘Glass House’

June 21, 2012

I’m a bit disappointed that a judge did not put a stay on the airing of ABC’s Glass House.  From what I saw, if a few CBS ex producers snag a proprietary tome from CBS’s Big Brother, and used it to put together Glass House, well, it seems wrong. I mean, sure, people steal ideas [...]
