The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn - Part 1

A Cinema Static reader sent me an email, asking about movie trailers, clips and such from the upcoming movie, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1. So, like I’ve always said, if you ask, well, I’m obsessive compulsive, so I compile.

Below I have collected over 30 minutes of video of interviews with Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart.  There are also video footage from Comic Con, TV spots, theatrical trailers, teaser clips, B-Rolls (Behind the scenes footage) and other bits and pieces.

So, barring some slow loading from the sites because I’ve collected too many vids, and more than likely, a little bit of redundancy between all the previews, have fun!

WonderCon Changes Cities

WonderCon logoFirst up, in case you had not heard the news/update, is that WonderCon has moved!  Zoinks!  It used to take place in San Francisco and did so up until this last event in the beginning of this year.  This last event was their best ever attended WonderCon venue in Frisco, where it’s been held for the last 6 years, but now, it’s time to move onward.  I’ve never felt crowded in at WonderCon, but now they’re headed to Anaheim, to the largest convention center on the West Coast.  These are my old stomping grounds which is pretty exciting for me!

Next year, WonderCon will he held at the ANAHEIM CONVENTION CENTER on March 16th to 18th, 2012.  Sweet, I have an entire lifetime of memories down there and I know exactly where I’m headed to eat!  HA!  On top of that, the latest news is that J. Michael Straczynski was just added to their guest list.

With the event moving to Anaheim, if there’s one that that location will offer, is food and lots of it.  Up in San Francsico, there wasn’t a lot for everyone to enjoy.  Locals know where to go and there was a Buca di Beppo, right (almost) next door.  They became very familiar with me there for that weekend!

So I guess we’ll all now meet up in Anaheim!  Right next to Disney Land!

Brusimm‘s Favorite Comic Con Photos

This year though there were some obvious costumes there were enjoyable to appreciate, there were also some good cosplay moves on the part of the wearers at Comic Con.  The outfits represented some classic themes or desired themes.  Check out this last post of Comic Con photos from this year:

Remember when I said it’s great when convention-goers embrace their body type and go with it?  This was awesome perfection!

The Women of Comic Con [Images]

As with any convention based on sci-fi, fantasy, anime or such, always has attendees who want to represent their favorite franchises and characters at the events.  Though fans head to events like Comic Con to attend the panels with their favorite celebrities and displays, it’s always a nice bonus to enjoy the cosplay that takes place at these events.

"Comic Con" News

At the genre conventions there are various degrees of costumes that attendees wear.  There are those that are a bit lazy and just toss something together with what I call a generic look.  There are the attendees who pay close attention-to-detail and there are the professional cosplay characters that studios and such hire to walk the floors of the convention.  Admittedly, in most cases, the professionals look pretty good.

Then it seems that women attendees tend to put much more work into their costumes.  That’s not always the case, but the majority look better than the guys.  Or they have it easier when all they need to do is pick up a sword or a gun and attire themselves with something slinky!

Anyway, let’s take a look at some of the pics I took of the various states of cosplay at Comic Con…

Here are some girls handing out business cards:

Project Arbiter Contagion at Comic Con

Michael Chance brought the team behind his Project Arbiter to Comic Con to have a bit of fun at the event.  The theme was that there was a contagion spreading about and only the man in the Project Arbiter armor could possibly help.  Scientists warned the crowd and Con visitors were scanned.  It was fun for all there was had.  Check it out below:

Comic Con Architecture

Comic Con is held at the San Diego Convention Center and from the right angles, the building holds sway over my eye.  The rounded designs in the interior, combined with some of the jutting structures on the exterior make for a great visual, if, while at one of the events there, you actually look up!  LOL.

"Comic Con" News

Did you know that voters approved the idea of the convention center location in late 1983.  Construction of the 1.7 million sf center took place between Mar of 87 to Nov of 89.  Sept 2001 saw the size doubled to 2.6 million sf.  And the city is looking at a capacity increased of 33%, where the center snagged up 6 adjacent acres to the facility in the spring of 2010.

Below are a few select images of the San Diego Convention Center.  (Yep, I actually did look up.)

Comic Con Personalities

When you hit up Comic Con, obviously you can see the panels and the stars from the various TV shows and movies.  But when you cruise the floor of the convention, you come across different scheduled events where the different studios hold autograph and appearance sessions.

"Comic Con" News

My time on the floor was limited throughout the weekend (Yes, despite the several hundred images that might belie otherwise!) but I did come across a few events and even was invited into one of them…

Manu Bennet and Liam McIntyre from Spartacus

So there was an event being held on the floor for the upcoming Starz program, Spartacus: Vengeance.  I was trying to get pictures of the cast while they were posing with fans but the line seemed to explode into an uncontrolled mass of humanity.  The crowd wrangler got a little flustered when she couldn’t get folks in with the cast and asked me, since I was sort of standing in the right spot, if I wanted a pic with the cast.  Hmm… let me think about that for a moment!

Comic Con Zombies

When you’re at Comic Con, you come across many different themes of costumes.  Sometimes, all at once, like when I came across the steampunk congregation.  In the case of this article, here are some of the zombies I came across in at the event, which I’m sure, The Walking Dead inspired…
