If you’re wondering about Syfy‘s version of Being Human, production for the second season will begin this month (July) in Montreal and is looking to air sometime in 2012. I’m sure Syfy will let us know exactly when it will return. It’s their style to let us know within a few weeks before it’s due to air.
But what’s sounding like other good news is that Dichen Lachman (Dollhouse) will be joining the Syfy series as the character Izumi, a very old vampire who shows up in Boston, whose royalty amongst the vampires.
Her showing up with throw everything into a bit of discord!
Sounds cool, I’ve enjoyed seeing Lachman in Dollhouse and even her one-spots in Hawaii Five-O, not to mention watching her in the upcoming Torchwood series in Starz.

For those of you who follow the gang, the gang being the alumni of actors who have graced the screen via a Joss Whedon production, there’s been a bit of news this week.
Adam Busch, who played Warren on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has landed a role in Grey’s Anatomy as a first-year resident who gets to follow Cristina (Sandra Oh) around for his training. Poor guy.
The gorgeous Dichen Lachman has joined Torchwood for a guest appearance in the premiere episode of their fourth season.

Picking up from the events depicted in “Epitaph 1,” the “lost” episode of DOLLHOUSE, and set in the year 2020, Echo and her surviving Dollhouse crew attempt to restore order to a devastating future world before mankind is eliminated.

Just thought I’d pass along the reminder that the series-finale of Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse takes place on January 22nd, 2010. The final episodes leading up to this last day will be
- January 8th: “Getting Closer.”
- January 15th: “The Hollow Men.”
- The series finale on January 22nd: “Epitath Two: Return.” Felicia Day and Adair Tishler guest star.
It will be the end of a much tormented science fiction, fantasy TV series run that never quite caught on with the general viewing public.
I even had a feeling that despite the hard-core fan-base wanting Joss’s latest television effort to succeed, even some of us were hard pressed to really enjoy Dollhouse at times. Sometimes the show just dragged for me and at other times it hit on all 10 cylinders of its 8-cylinder engine. It just didn’t revv up enough to catch a foothold.
It didn’t help when viewers called it things like a show about trafficking.
