
This week the new DVD and Blu-ray releases that are coming out on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, have acting talent such as Benedict Cumberbatch, Cuba Gooding Jr., Tom Hardy, & Daniel Radcliffe.

The Avengers is coming to DVD & Blu-ray rather quickly compared to most movies. And again, that’s another completely refreshing aspect to this movie from Joss Whedon. First the awesome action, humor, and the incredible dynamics of the character ensemble has made this movie an incredible box office smash. Literally.
Joss Whedon’s The Avengers is an awesome fun movie of superhero proportions. I’ve seen it and loved it, but then again, who hasn’t seen it?
Technically, the answer to that is the Japanese. The Avengers opened on May 17th in Cambodia and Georgia (Shurismadzieblebi) and will open in Japan on August 17th.
I would really be hating to live in Japan and watching all the hype going on right now around the rest of the world. But once it opens in Japan, that should boost the bottom end of the box office numbers pretty nicely, since their average movie ticket price is $21! (overseas ticket prices aren’t cheap)
But be it as it may, The Avengers is coming to DVD/Blu-ray on Sept 25th, 2012.
I find that incredibly awesome because I was resigned to waiting a long time before this movie hit the home entertainment market.
