The Bachelorette News & Opinion
If you’ve watched the entire season of The Bachelorette with Ashley, you already know the ins and outs of what happened and if you’ve read my stuff before, I’m thinking you know where I stand about the girl who wears napkin-sized articles of clothing to show herself off to either the men in the show or to TV land. For all we know, she’s searching for that brand new TV career that some contestants have gone off to start after this exposure!
From a complete crass-ass that Ashley fell for, despite being warned about ahead of time about him, to the two guys that I believe we were all rooting for. There were two others, but it is what it is.
The last few hours of the season, with the Men Tell All and the finale of The Bachelorette, we found ourselves pummeled with about what, 30% recaps and ads? Maybe more. On Monday night when we found ourselves watching the first (it felt like) half-hour of that money hiding game, it started to confuse/tick me off. I started checking channel guides to make sure I didn’t faze out and miss something. But ABC is almost as good as Syfy at promoting itself, so there’s that.
From the sounds of the studio audience applause in “The Men Tell All,” it looks like Ames is pretty popular. I’d say let’s hope to see him as the next bachelor, but he’s hit up the “continual date night” ABC show, The Bachelor Pad 2. So be it. That’s a bit disappointing.
(Hey, I saw Ames running the San Francisco Marathon last Sunday. He looked strong as he ran past me. Then again, after how many marathons? He should! His time in the full marathon was 3:30:32, for a 8:48 pace. That’s an intense pace for 26 miles of running!)
