Google Feedburner LogoIs your Feedburner Socialize Not Working?  I discovered the other day that there are a few flaws with the Google Feedburner service called Socialize.  One of the issues I discovered is that you cannot remove Twitter accounts once added to the service.  I’ll explain later.

For those who don’t know, “Google Feedburner,” which distributes email newsletters for your RSS feed, has a service that can distribute posts from your feed to a Twitter account of your choosing.  It’s called “Socialize,” under the “Publicize” tab.  (Classic web interface.)

I’ve had several ‘newsletter’ options set up for different columns here on Brusimm.com.

I’ve had a change of heart about how I’ve referred to the website previously and decided to change a few Twitter account names.

I just discovered that Google has jumped on the Twitter bandwagon and introduced to their Feedburner product the ability to tweet your blog or news article posts from your feeds now.

Do you know what this means to someone like myself who runs a publication that has multiple genre?  It means a massive simplification to my life!  That’s what!

Right now I use the awesome WordPress Plugin called Twitter Tools to broadcast to one Twitter account and then a few times a day I head off to my other specific Twitter accounts to retweet myself under the proper tweet banner.

But as I have multiple feeds attached to specific categories, I can now attach my Twitter account to my specific feeds.  That means, write, publish, forget!  Well, mostly forget, with the occasional double check to make sure it’s working…  and it is!  This is too sweet!

If you already have a Twitter set up that works for you, you probably have no need to switch.  But if you cover multiple subjects and would like a Twitter account for each, this is definitely something you need.

To set up your Twitter account with Feedburner, just head on over to your Feedburner page, and under the PUBLICIZE tab, there’s a SOCIALIZE link.  Right now this socialize option only supports Twitter but this bodes well for the busy folk!

There’s more on the subject at this Google info page.  I’m pretty jazzed.  I hope this helps some folk out!  Have fun.

When I insert an image in a post, the post usually looks pretty good until [...]
