New Movies & TV on DVD and Blu-ray

The list of new DVD and Blu-ray releases this week tally in the mid-300′s.  Is that crazy or what?  Amongst the new discs coming out this week, the bigger names include Season of the Witch and Sucker Punch.  Older titled finally landing on Blu-ray isn’t huge, but there is Ron Howard’s Apollo 13 and Joss Whedon’s Serenity Blu-ray combo pack being released.

And yes, the highly anticipated release of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy is coming out on Blu-ray!

I’m amazed I got this out, even if it is a day later than usual!  I spent the weekend covering the NASCAR event at Sonoma as a press photographer and found myself pretty busy with that.  I had a great time and even got a hot-lap around the track from a professional driver.  (I now know how all my passengers feel!  Gads, my apologies to everyone!)

1st Look – Green Lantern CGI Suit Picture

July 15, 2010

The first image of Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan in the Green Lantern suit started floating about today and the image release fulfills everyone’s curiosity…  though from the web-o-verse meanderings I’ve been doing, there’s mixed reactions to some degree. It looks sort of fibrous which is a bit different than what I’ve become accustomed to [...]

October 16, 2009

I came across an old article of mine that asked which would have better ratings, Star Wars or Lord of the Rings? Back in April of 2006, when the 2 franchises were up against each other, Star Wars won the Nielsen ratings battle, but not by much. Star Wars Episode III vs Lord of the [...]
